Bike ride...
Oct 9, 2008 If you’re one of my facebook peeps, you know from my status updates that I haven’t been feeling too hot, being afflicted with some sort of stomach thing, which I now know has been traveling through my work place. I seem to have been more lightly afflicted than most, for which I am grateful. My lower level of affliction could be down to the Activia (pro-biotics, doncha’ know) I’ve been dutifully eating every day, or it could be just dumb luck. Whatever the reason, I am grateful that I haven’t missed any work and so can save my days off for time with the family.
Nevertheless, I’ve been fighting a queasy stomach, headache and tiredness since Sunday. Yesterday, the queasiness and headache were much improved and I was left with only the tired part, so I decided to take a bike ride this morning, the first since last Friday. I thought maybe the lingering tiredness was owed to the lack of endorphins supplied by regular exercise. The bike ride, which I shortened, was an exercise in endurance. My body was not happy with me…I’m hoping I don’t pay for it later today.
It was nice to back out in the early morning freshness. We had a little rain last night so the air seemed cleaner than usual and the morning sky had a nicely scrubbed appearance. The changing of the seasons is beginning with the leaves just starting to color. I can count my blessings in spite of the difficulty of the exercise.
Another bonus is that the kids have a day off from school today for Yom Kippur, so I don’t have to rush them out of bed and out the door. I can drink my morning coffee at my leisure.
A good day to you all!

I hope that you feel better soon. Enjoy the day.
Get well soon, Laura !
THanks, ladies. I am starting to feel a little more like myself...
Continued prayers for good health.
I went back to a gym class yesterday....hard work, but it is true you feel better afterwards [though sore also! :)]. Bike riding is great fun too: I need to get a new tyre tube though as my current one is punctured.
tyre! What lovely British-like spelling!
Going to a gym is a good thing too...I use to do that in my single days.
I can also write "colour","centre" and "gaol". :) :)
We tend to go for British English spellings here -- though American-style spellings creep in now and again.
OK...is gaol jail?
I like the English spellings...I've already adopted "grey" :)
I took a bike ride M-F last week....it was a good thing.
Sorry, yes gaol = jail.
And he he re grey. :)
